Biography

I am a Physician with specialist expertise in Adult Endocrinology. I graduated from Monash University and undertook specialist training at the Alfred Hospital, the University Hospital Geelong and Monash Health and was conferred Fellowship to The Royal Australasian College of Physicians. I hold clinical appointments as a Consultant Endocrinologist at Monash and Alfred Health.

I am an Endocrinologist with special interests in all types of diabetes including type 1, type 2 and gestational diabetes, osteoporosis and osteopenia, thyroid disorders including cancer and weight management. I also have expertise in the management of other endocrine problems, including parathyroid gland and calcium disorders, adrenal disorders, pituitary disorders and male and female reproductive disorders.

I am available for private consultations in Melbourne at Suite 49, Cabrini Malvern. I also provide an inpatient consultation service to my patients at Cabrini Malvern a 508-bed acute care private hospital located in South East Melbourne.

 

I was awarded a PhD from Monash University for my thesis on gestational diabetes, clinical prediction modelling and risk-stratified treatment. This research was supported by scholarships from the National Health and Medical Research Council, the Australian Academy of Science and Diabetes Australia.

 

I continue to be involved in clinical research and clinical trials in diabetes, gestational diabetes, obesity and osteoporosis. I am a Research Fellow at the Monash Centre for Health Research and Implementation (MCHRI), School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine at Monash University, in partnership with Monash Health.
